Kendra + Cameron
South Street Seaport
Kendra & Cameron met over a decade ago while each hanging with their friends in NYC. Their instant connection prompted Cameron to invite Kendra to spend some one on one time at South Street Seaport the following day before she traveled back home to New Jersey.
After some time they found the right ingredients to make their Long Island/New Jersey relationship work. And those that know will tell you its about a 3 hour drive between!
I was thrilled when I met Kendra and she almost immediately asked me to sit with her and Cameron to talk about their wedding. I was even more excited hearing how much their story paralleled that of my wife and I.
We, too, had an instant connection and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
“I found Rashad at a bridal expo in January 2015. From the moment I met him, I loved his energy and style. After reviewing his work, I knew he was going to be a strong candidate for our wedding. My husband and I met him a few weeks later, and the relationship chemistry was awesome. From that point on, we didn’t even consider interviewing any other photographers. We were both very pleased with his overall professionalism and creativity. Rashad did both our engagement photos (in NYC) and our wedding photos (in NJ) and we were ecstatic about both. So many wonderful moments and memories to share, all of which were captured in a beautiful and creative way. In addition, our guests and staff at our venue commented on how amazing our pictures were ( “day of slideshow”, highly recommended) at our wedding. We knew we had someone special and it was nice for him to get the recognition as well. In addition, He was very discreet and barely noticeable, because every moment captured made It seem like he was a fly on the wall. We are truly grateful to have worked with such a phenomenal photographer and artist and are looking forward to making him our family photographer!! We couldn’t have asked for anything more.”
Simply AMAZING!!! Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Thompson
Kendra and Cameron didn’t have to do much to convince me that the two hour drive to South Street Seaport in New York City was going to be worth it. After they shared their story with me and told me about spending the day with each other there I was immediately subscribed to capturing them while they relived portions of that day. What was scheduled to be a 2 hour photoshoot at 7am ended with my wife and I sharing most of the day hanging with Kendra and Cameron after the shoot. We figured after leaving at 5am to get to the shoot we should spend more than 2 hours just taking photos. Of course, we hang out all the time now because they are just that awesome…
You can check out their classy, trendy, fun filled wedding at The Madison if you’d like too… and by you can I definitely mean you should just tap here and I’ll take you there…
