Lola + Tim
The Westin Mt Laurel
Lolade and Tim’s vision for their wedding was incredible! They chose to host the festivities at The Westin in Mt Laurel, NJ and had Isis from POSH Events help bring it to life. The thought the couple put in to the details was phenomenal. Their cake… a clear favorite. Even before we got to cake, though, they treated their guest to an indoor ceremony under a private canopy… stunning. Let’s not leave out the custom hashtag #omgTL2014!
Check out a couple photos from their wedding in the slideshow below… you should also see the cultural ceremony they had the night before full of vibrant color and joyful celebration.
“Rashad was a great photographer. We really enjoyed working with him. He was very professional, punctual, and easy to work with. We found him on here and after speaking with him on the phone, we knew he would be a great match for us. He was very attentive to our requests and executed all ideas very well. We love the photos that he took. We look forward to working with him again sometime in the future.”
Lolade met Tim at RCCG Agape House of Worship, a church in Roselle, New Jersey. During the Sunday morning service, Lolade gave a speech to the congregation about healthy eating. After weeks of planning the perfect first date, Tim mustered up the courage to ask Lolade out. The two met at their local park, where Tim suggested they go for a morning run as an attempt to impress the health-concious medical student. “I ran for three miles straight without stopping. I had to show her that I can handle a long run,” says Tim. The pair spent the rest of the afternoon chatting and getting to know one another.
After months of dating, Lolade and Tim planned a trip to Utah, where they would spent time sight-seeing and spending time with Tim’s family, who moved there when he was a young teenager. After a day in Salt Lake City, the two went back to Tim’s hometown to end the day checking out the scenic mountain views. Lolade and Tim sat on a bench with a mountain view, where they discussed their life goals and future plans. Just as they went to leave their spot, Tim got down on not one, but two knees and popped the question. “He was so nervous that he didn’t realize that he was down on both knees,” says Lolade. After a good laugh and a cheerful ‘yes!’ The newly engaged pair spent the day celebrating with family.
Over the course of their six month engagement, Lolade and Tim planned a fall wedding to be held at The Westin in Mount Laurel, a town near her south Jersey hometown. The couple exchanged Christian vows in the presence of 400 of their closest friends and family members. Looking to include their guests, who flew from all over the globe, the couple worked with Isis Williams at POSH Events to create a luxurious and romantic feel. “The color palette for our wedding was inspired by a picture of a table setting that I stumbled upon on Pinterest. This table was adorned with rich colors of gold and deep, rich hues of fuschia, navy, and purple,” says Lolade.
